Financial Control – Senior Manager

About the role

The Senior Manager of Financial Control will ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for assigned entities, overseeing key accounting processes such as leases, employee benefits, and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations. This role supports compliance with IFRS standards and collaborates closely with auditors and internal reporting teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with group timelines.
• Review and approve journal entries for intercompany transactions, leases, provisions, and other general ledger items.
• Implement IFRS standards and conduct impact assessments.
• Coordinate with external auditors to meet disclosure and audit requirements.
• Support the Financial Reporting Director in developing reporting manuals and technical accounting memos.
• Ensure accuracy of system‑generated data from the ERP and review consolidation packages from subsidiaries.
• Maintain standing data for property leases and manage the full accounting and finance function of assigned entities.
• Prepare quarterly reporting packages, notes, and technical memos as directed.
• Monitor and respond to data requests from auditors and explain variances in ECL computations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as SOCPA, ACCA, CPA, or ACA.
• Excellent oral and written proficiency in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and technical accounting standards.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Proficiency in lease accounting, employee benefits, and ECL calculations.
• Ability to prepare and review audit documentation and consolidation packages.
