Financial Controller – Agriculture & Farm Operations

About the role

The client, a leading date producer in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Financial Controller to lead finance functions for its farming, processing, packing, sales and export operations in Al Qasim.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, reporting and preparation of financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Lead the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts and variance analysis, providing insights to improve profitability.
• Manage cash‑flow planning, treasury activities, working‑capital optimisation and relationships with banks.
• Design and maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with tax, statutory and audit requirements.
• Control costs across farming, harvesting, processing and logistics, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• 20+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in agriculture, food production or FMCG.
• Proven experience leading finance teams and managing large, complex operations.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Strong ERP/accounting‑system expertise.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
