Fire Suppression Technician

About the role

The Fire Suppression Technician is responsible for the maintenance, installation, testing and troubleshooting of various fire suppression systems on construction sites. The role requires hands‑on technical expertise and the ability to work independently while ensuring compliance with Saudi safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on sprinkler, clean‑agent, foam, CO₂ and water‑mist fire suppression systems.
• Install piping, valves, hangers, supports, nozzles and detection/actuation interfaces according to drawings and specifications.
• Execute system inspections, functional checks, commissioning support and verification activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve faults in mechanical and electrical components such as valves, pumps, cylinders, controllers, pressure switches and sensors.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, isometrics, wiring diagrams and system configuration documents.
• Prepare accurate maintenance reports, test results, defect logs and as‑built records.
• Ensure compliance with local Saudi safety codes, site HSE policies and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Coordinate with mechanical/electrical teams, project engineers and subcontractors for smooth handover.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical qualification in Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC or related fields.
• Relevant experience in fire suppression system maintenance and/or installation.
• Hands‑on experience with all major suppression system types listed above.
• Ability to work on‑site independently and manage technical tasks responsibly.
