Food & Beverage Order Taker

About the role

The Food & Beverage Order Taker is responsible for receiving guest food and beverage orders via telephone or digital in‑room dining systems, entering them accurately into the POS, and coordinating with kitchen and service teams to ensure prompt, high‑quality service in a hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer guest orders professionally through phone and in‑room dining platforms.
• Enter orders into the computerized Point of Sale (POS) system and dispatch them to the kitchen.
• Communicate menu details, preparation times, special requests, and promotions to guests.
• Follow up with guests to confirm satisfaction with food quality and service.
• Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and dietary requests promptly.
• Maintain accurate billing, posting, and cash‑handling procedures.
• Coordinate order flow during peak periods and ensure smooth operation.
• Keep the order‑taking area clean and organized.

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, food & beverage, call handling, or hospitality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and willingness to provide exceptional guest service.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems, especially MICROS.
• Computer literacy and good telephone etiquette.
