GCP Infrastructure Expert

About the role

The GCP Infrastructure Expert will design, implement, administer, and optimise Google Cloud Platform environments for Aramco Digital. You will act as the primary technical authority, ensuring secure, scalable and compliant cloud operations aligned with enterprise standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer GCP services including IAM, VPC, interconnects, firewalls, service accounts and resource hierarchies.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, monitoring, incident response and platform health.
• Implement network, compute, storage and security best practices across GCP workloads.
• Collaborate with architects to design secure, scalable and cost‑optimised solutions.
• Lead deployments of Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud SQL, BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Ensure compliance with internal and industry‑specific security standards.
• Develop automation using Terraform, Deployment Manager or CI/CD tools.
• Monitor resource utilisation and drive cost optimisation.
• Serve as L3 escalation point and perform root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 8–12 years of enterprise cloud experience, with at least 5 years focused on GCP administration.
• Professional certifications preferred: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, Professional Cloud Network Engineer, Terraform Associate.
