GCP Security Cloud Support Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Security Engineer (GCP) will design, implement and maintain security controls across Google Cloud Platform environments. Leveraging five years of experience, the role focuses on protecting data and infrastructure through proactive measures and threat mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure GCP architectures following best practices and industry standards.
• Configure and manage GCP security services such as Cloud IAM, Security Command Center, VPC Service Controls and Cloud Armor.
• Develop and enforce security policies, standards and procedures for compute, storage and networking resources.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and analyze security logs to identify threats.
• Automate security tasks using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Ensure compliance with standards such as CIS, NIST, SOC 2 and GDPR and support security audits.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to embed security into the SDLC and communicate risks and recommendations.

Required profile

• At least five years of experience in cloud security, preferably on Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of security architecture, vulnerability management and compliance frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
