General Accountant

About the role

The General Accountant will be responsible for end‑to‑end bookkeeping and monitoring of accounting transactions across the company’s construction and manufacturing divisions. This role ensures accurate processing of supplier and customer invoices, manages fixed‑asset accounting, and supports the preparation of financial statements in line with IFRS.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise accounts payable processing, perform three‑way matching, verify tax compliance, and manage vendor payments and inquiries.
• Oversee accounts receivable, issue accurate customer invoices, assess credit risk, and implement collection procedures.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting, including acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and periodic asset verification.
• Maintain the general ledger, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare financial statements according to IFRS, assist external auditors, support budgeting, monitor performance, and identify financial risks.
• Continuously improve accounting processes for efficiency and regulatory compliance.
