General Manager - Agricultural Operations

About the role

Burjline Builders is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee its agricultural operations focused on palm trees, fruits and vegetables. The successful candidate will combine a deep understanding of agricultural practices with strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving productivity and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to improve agricultural production and efficiency for palm trees, fruits and vegetables.
• Lead and manage all aspects of operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting and distribution.
• Monitor and evaluate production processes to ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Work with agronomists and other experts to optimise crop yields and sustainability practices.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and the financial performance of the operations.
• Build relationships with suppliers, distributors and stakeholders in the agriculture industry.
• Recruit, train and mentor staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies and regulations.
• Report directly to the executive team on operational performance and strategic direction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in agricultural management, with a focus on palm trees, fruits and vegetables.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale agricultural operations.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and sustainability practices in agriculture.
