General Manager – Agriculture (Dates & Fruits)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a large‑scale farm specializing in dates and other fruits in Riyadh. This senior, full‑time position oversees all aspects of farm operations, from planting to market delivery, ensuring commercial success and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all farm activities, aligning with long‑term business goals.
• Manage the complete cultivation cycle, including planting, irrigation, pest control, harvesting and post‑harvest handling.
• Develop and control annual budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability.
• Lead, mentor and develop a diverse team of managers, specialists and labourers.
• Maintain high quality standards for produce to meet domestic and export requirements.
• Ensure compliance with local, national and international agricultural, health and safety regulations.
• Drive adoption of innovative farming technologies, sustainable practices and modern irrigation methods.
• Oversee supply‑chain logistics, inventory management and vendor relationships.
• Prepare and present regular operational and financial performance reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Horticulture or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive senior‑management experience in a large‑scale agricultural operation, preferably as General Manager or Farm Director.
• Specialised expertise in date and fruit cultivation.
• Strong financial literacy with proven P&L and budgeting experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Saudi/GCC agricultural market and regulatory environment.
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
