General Practitioner – ER Clinic

About the role

Batterjee Medical College is looking for a qualified and compassionate General Practitioner to deliver primary care and emergency medical services to students, faculty, and staff on campus. The role combines routine consultations with rapid response to health‑related incidents, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general medical consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for campus community members.
• Manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, and other common health concerns.
• Deliver immediate assessment and emergency care for on‑site incidents, stabilise patients, and arrange ambulance activation or hospital referral when needed.
• Prescribe and administer medications in line with professional regulations.
• Perform clinical examinations and basic medical procedures.
• Monitor chronic conditions and offer follow‑up advice.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and incident reports.
• Ensure emergency equipment, medications, and supplies are ready and well‑maintained.
• Participate in campus emergency preparedness drills and risk assessments.
• Support infection‑prevention measures and provide guidance on communicable diseases.
• Deliver health‑education initiatives on preventive care and wellness.
• Coordinate with hospitals, ambulance services, security, and administrative departments during emergencies.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent recognised medical degree.
• Valid registration as a General Practitioner with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in primary care, emergency medicine, or similar settings.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
