General Surveying Engineer

About the role

The General Surveying Engineer will support Alqotr’s geospatial and infrastructure projects by applying modern surveying technologies and ensuring high‑quality spatial data for planning and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct surveying and mapping tasks using GPS, Total Station, LiDAR and UAVs.
• Collect, analyse and convert spatial data into digital maps with GIS software.
• Participate in design and implementation of geospatial and infrastructure projects.
• Maintain accuracy and quality control of spatial data according to technical standards.
• Prepare technical and survey reports based on field analysis.
• Coordinate with IT, urban planning and construction teams.
• Assist in building and maintaining up‑to‑date geospatial databases.
• Follow safety protocols during fieldwork and office tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying Engineering, Geomatics or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in surveying and geospatial data handling.
• Proficiency with surveying tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Leica, Trimble) and GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
• Strong analytical and technical skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
• Proficiency in English is a plus.
