Generalist Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Generalist Software Engineer who will own problems across the stack, moving between the serving path, control plane, tooling, and hardware interface. The role offers the flexibility to work where the impact is greatest each quarter, within a deep‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take ambiguous problems to shipped solutions, selecting the appropriate layer for implementation.
• Move across the stack, including services, interfaces, data paths, and underlying systems.
• Build tooling that reduces manual effort for the broader team.
• Read unfamiliar code quickly and modify it safely.
• Own shipped features, including handling paging incidents when they arise.

Required profile

• Three or more years of production software engineering experience.
• Fluency in at least one systems programming language and one high‑level language.
• Demonstrated ability to work meaningfully at multiple layers of a technology stack.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias toward decisive action.
• Background in infrastructure, Linux, or distributed systems (useful but not mandatory).
• Open‑source contributions and experience at a small, boundary‑less company are a plus.
