Government Relations Officer

About the role

Savills is looking for a competent Government Relations Officer to ensure full compliance with labour and immigration requirements across its Saudi entities. The role provides end‑to‑end government relations support, handling paperwork, licences and visas while maintaining a proactive, commercial approach.

Key responsibilities

• Process new iqamas and work permits for expatriates and ensure timely renewals.
• Track issuance and renewal of iqamas, exit/re‑entry visas, and related licences.
• Administer and monitor Saudi government portals such as GOSI, Qiwa, Mudad, COC, Saudi Post, Ministry of Commerce, WPS, MOFA, HRDF, Taqat, MISA and REGA.
• Visit government offices for signatures, document collection and drop‑off.
• Liaise with HR, administration and regional business teams to support compliance.
• Represent the company at police stations, airports, embassies, ministries and municipalities.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records in labour and immigration departments and ensure Saudisation targets are met.
• Facilitate visa transfers, overseas work visas and employee exit procedures.
• Stay current on changes to immigration and labour laws and advise management of risks.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
• Experience handling government documentation and licences.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Saudi government portals (GOSI, Qiwa, Mudad, COC, WPS, MOFA, HRDF, Taqat, MISA, REGA).
• Familiarity with Saudi labour and immigration regulations.
