Graduate Engineer – Overhead Transmission Line (132kV/380kV)

About the role

Algihaz Power Business Unit is looking for motivated Saudi engineering graduates to join its Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) projects team. As a Graduate Engineer you will receive structured on‑the‑job training and gain hands‑on experience in the construction, installation, testing, commissioning and project management of 132 kV and 380 kV transmission line projects across Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution and monitoring of 132 kV and 380 kV overhead transmission line projects.
• Support site engineers with tower foundation works, tower erection, conductor stringing and related civil activities.
• Review engineering drawings, material specifications and project documentation.
• Participate in site inspections, quality control and safety inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
• Prepare technical and daily progress reports, and assist with testing and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and suppliers, track material and equipment usage, and report schedule deviations.
• Promote and adhere to HSE policies, attend toolbox talks and risk assessments.
• Take part in graduate training programmes, workshops and learn SEC, National Grid, IEC and international transmission line standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience; internship experience in power, construction or utility projects is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on project sites across Saudi Arabia and to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of power transmission systems.
• Knowledge of engineering principles for electrical or civil disciplines.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
