Group Medical Manager

About the role

The Group Medical Manager (GMM) leads the medical affairs function for a therapeutic‑area portfolio within GSK Saudi Arabia. Based mainly in the office with occasional field visits, the role oversees the full asset lifecycle from pre‑registration through post‑launch, ensuring all medical activities are scientific, balanced and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop Medical Managers and Medical Science Liaison (MSL) teams, set objectives, monitor performance and ensure alignment with Medical Affairs Plans (MAPs) and budgets.
• Maintain deep understanding of assigned therapeutic areas, monitor clinical practice dynamics and competitive landscape, and translate insights into medical strategies.
• Identify local evidence gaps, drive evidence‑generation initiatives, and collaborate with R&D to bring projects to the local operating company.
• Ensure compliance with GSK standards, local codes, regulations and act as focal point for audits, inspections and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading medical affairs or scientific teams.
• Deep knowledge of therapeutic areas and clinical practice dynamics.
• Ability to build effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of compliance, governance and regulatory requirements.
