Head of Global Event Operations & Delivery

About the role

Sela, a Public Investment Fund company driving world‑class entertainment, culture and sports spectacles in Saudi Arabia, is looking for a senior operational leader to shape and deliver its global mega‑event portfolio. As Head of Global Event Operations & Delivery, you will define the operational blueprint that ensures flawless execution of city‑scale events worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the “Sela Standard” – comprehensive operational playbooks, SOPs and SLAs for all sports, culture and entertainment properties.
• Translate complex multi‑year timelines into repeatable, integrated operational plans and master daily run‑sheets that coordinate hour‑by‑hour activities across entire event footprints.
• Map, track and govern thousands of inter‑dependencies across logistics, transport, facilities, technology, ticketing, broadcast, venues and security, enforcing milestone gates and risk registers.
• Act as the central integration bridge, breaking silos between creative, commercial and technical teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
• Lead the elite testing and war‑gaming program, designing simulations that validate readiness and resilience before each event.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader with extensive experience delivering large‑scale, city‑wide events or mega‑projects.
• Demonstrated ability to create and enforce operational standards and governance frameworks.
• Strong track record of cross‑functional integration, risk management and crisis‑ready operations.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and the capacity to command an operations centre under global scrutiny.
