Head of Logistics & Supply Chain

About the role

Sela is seeking a strategic Head of Logistics & Supply Chain to design and execute the end‑to‑end logistics master plan for large‑scale international events in Saudi Arabia. You will join the team at the inception phase, shaping how thousands of tons of equipment, broadcast gear and commercial assets move seamlessly into the Kingdom and onto the event footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Architect the Logistics Master Plan, including Off‑Site Consolidation Centres, Venue Logistics Centres and Master Delivery Schedules.
• Define market service models by engaging global freight forwarders, 3PL/4PL providers and local transport networks.
• Design and oversee load‑in/load‑out strategies to ensure frictionless coordination among construction, broadcasting, delegations and catering.
• Partner with Saudi Customs, Ministry of Transport and aviation/port authorities to streamline border clearance and temporary import exemptions.
• Coordinate multiple global delivery partners, overlay engineers, production companies and pavilion teams.
• Recruit, lead and scale a high‑performing logistics operations team.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading logistics and supply‑chain operations for tier‑1 international events such as World Expos, Olympic Games or Formula 1.
• Strong track record in early‑stage strategy, master planning and market definition.
• Deep knowledge of public‑sector regulations, customs procedures and ATA Carnet frameworks.
• Ability to manage multi‑operator coordination and large‑scale stakeholder integration.
