Head of Regulatory Affairs & Licensing – Middle East

About the role

Tether is seeking a senior leader to head its Regulatory Affairs and Licensing function for the Middle East. You will shape the company’s regulatory strategy, work directly with regional regulators, and ensure compliance for its stablecoin and blockchain‑based services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive regulatory and licensing roadmap for the Middle East.
• Engage with regulators to translate policy objectives into actionable compliance measures.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting crypto‑assets and stablecoins.
• Lead licensing applications, approvals, and ongoing reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with product, legal, and compliance teams to align business initiatives with regional regulations.
• Represent Tether in industry forums and regulatory consultations.

Required profile

• Organized self‑starter with deep knowledge of the crypto‑asset regulatory environment in the Middle East.
• Proven legal or regulatory experience in financial services or fintech.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work remotely with a global team.
