Health, Safety & Environment Officer

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer will support Alfanar in promoting and maintaining high standards of safety, health and environmental compliance across its sites. The role involves developing policies, conducting inspections, and ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, monitoring and implementing the organization’s HSE policy.
• Inspect workplaces for hazards, assess risks and report findings.
• Conduct emergency drills, such as fire drills, and ensure equipment functionality.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing detailed reports.
• Maintain regulatory documentation for site start‑up, operation and closure.
• Prepare periodic performance reports highlighting deviations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health.
• 5 to 10 years of relevant HSE experience, preferably in industrial or oil & gas environments.
• Ability to work under pressure, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
