Hematology Consultant (Part-Time)

About the role

The ICC is hiring a part-time, in-person Hematology Consultant to provide specialised care for blood and blood-forming organ disorders at its physical clinic in Riyadh. The consultant evaluates, diagnoses and manages acute and chronic hematological conditions, working closely with the full-time clinical and administrative teams to ensure continuity of care.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in-person hematology care during scheduled part-time clinic sessions, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and follow-up.
• Take histories, perform physical examinations and review laboratory and peripheral blood findings; develop individualised management plans including anticoagulation monitoring and referrals.
• Manage conditions such as anemias, coagulation and bleeding disorders, thrombophilia and venous thromboembolism, coordinating with the full-time team between sessions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and promote preventive counselling and chronic disease management.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families and caregivers, and uphold clinical, ethical and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to quality improvement, clinical audits and regulatory compliance, and mentor junior physicians and healthcare professionals.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from an accredited school.
• Residency training in Internal Medicine and board certification in Internal Medicine.
• Fellowship certification in Hematology and SCFHS classification and registration as Hematology Consultant.
• At least 3 years of clinical practice in hematology, preferably in a hospital or outpatient setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills.
