Housekeeping Coordinator

About the role

The Housekeeping Coordinator acts as the communication hub for the housekeeping department, ensuring smooth interaction between front office, engineering, and guest services. This role supports the delivery of Sofitel’s luxury standards by managing room status updates, guest requests, and operational logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate room status updates with Front Office and liaise with Engineering for repairs.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, logs, and daily assignment sheets in the Property Management System.
• Track lost‑and‑found items and monitor stock levels, initiating supply requisitions as needed.
• Handle internal and external guest requests, ensuring VIP rooms and special requests meet brand standards.
• Assist in room allocation, prioritize cleaning schedules, and monitor staff productivity.
• Support supervisors during peak periods and help implement departmental SOPs.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or hotel operations, preferably in a luxury setting.
• Familiarity with PMS systems (e.g., Opera) is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Good command of English; additional languages are advantageous.
• Attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
