Housekeeping – Room Attendant

About the role

The Room Attendant ensures guest rooms, suites and villas meet ultra‑luxury standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position supports the hotel’s Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) and brand standards while maintaining confidentiality and security of guest spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritise and clean guest rooms according to daily assignment sheets, updating room status accurately.
• Deep clean bathrooms, removing soil, soap build‑up and hair from all surfaces.
• Strip and replace dirty linen, make beds with fresh linens, and inspect bathrobes.
• Dust and polish furniture, mirrors, televisions, clocks and windows.
• Detail closets, door tracks, baseboards, corners and vacuum carpets; check drawers and under‑furnishings for debris.
• Maintain balcony and patio areas, removing trash and inspecting planters.
• Replenish amenities, tissues, stationery and guest service directories.
• Manage cleaning carts, transport supplies securely and restock at shift end.
• Set clocks, ensure TVs are tuned correctly, and verify lamps and switches work.
• Empty and clean mini‑bars, lock them securely, and maintain vacuum equipment.
• Provide courteous guest service, follow the six‑step complaint procedure, and protect room keys.
• Turn over lost‑and‑found items to the supervisor and ensure fire safety cards and DND signs are present.

Required profile

• Friendly, helpful and courteous attitude when interacting with guests and colleagues.
• Strict adherence to security protocols for room keys and guest belongings.
• Commitment to occupational health and safety policies, including chemical safety.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, ultra‑luxury hotel environment.
