Housekeeping Supervisor - BISCAT (Housing & Catering)

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees housekeeping operations within the camp, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance of accommodation and common areas. The role covers managing housekeeping staff, coordinating cleaning schedules, inspecting premises and keeping high standards of cleanliness and safety in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping activities to ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of rooms and common areas.
• Coordinate and schedule housekeeping staff shifts to meet operational needs.
• Inspect accommodations and public areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Train, motivate and evaluate housekeeping staff performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping-related guest concerns or complaints.
• Prepare reports on housekeeping operations and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in camp or facility housing environments.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues efficiently.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations related to housekeeping.
