HR Business Partner

About the role

The HR Business Partner will join Hitachi Energy's business unit in Saudi Arabia, supporting workforce planning, performance management and succession initiatives. You will work closely with business leaders to align HR strategies with organisational goals and ensure the talent pipeline meets current and future needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current headcount against business objectives and forecast future staffing requirements.
• Lead organisational restructuring projects to align with strategic goals.
• Maintain accurate data in planning tools and produce regular headcount reports.
• Develop and execute a Saudization strategy to meet local regulatory targets.
• Design recruitment and retention programmes to increase female representation across all levels.
• Provide recruitment expertise and compensation advice to hiring managers.
• Oversee the global performance‑management cycle, including goal setting, mid‑year reviews and annual appraisals.
• Coach managers on performance‑management best practices.
• Conduct talent reviews, identify high‑potential employees and create development plans.
• Implement succession‑planning processes for key roles.
• Partner with Learning & Development to deliver training that builds employee competencies.
• Drive employee‑engagement survey participation and translate results into actionable improvement plans.
• Adapt global diversity and inclusion initiatives to the local cultural context.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning, performance management and succession planning.
• Experience with Saudization or other local labour‑market compliance programmes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive change.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
