HSE Trainee – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

Worley is seeking an enthusiastic HSE Trainee to support the implementation and maintenance of health, safety and environment practices across its projects and operations. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in a global engineering and construction environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in applying and updating HSE policies, procedures and programs.
• Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations and risk assessments to identify hazards.
• Participate in incident reporting, investigations and the tracking of corrective and preventive actions.
• Support the delivery of HSE inductions, toolbox talks, awareness campaigns and safety training.
• Monitor compliance with Worley HSE standards, client requirements and relevant regulations.
• Maintain HSE records, documentation, reports and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with project teams to promote a positive safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of HSE principles, risk management and applicable regulations.
• Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Commitment to fostering a safe work environment.
