Information Security Analyst

About the role

The IT Security Analyst is responsible for protecting the organization’s digital assets against cyber threats. You will implement security measures, monitor for vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and IDS/IPS.
• Implement security protocols and policies to safeguard data and systems.
• Monitor networks and systems for potential breaches or anomalies.
• Utilize SIEM tools to analyze logs, investigate alerts, and respond to suspicious activity.
• Act as the first responder for cybersecurity incidents, handling detection, containment, and eradication.
• Conduct post‑incident reviews to identify root causes and apply preventive measures.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to uncover security gaps.
• Collaborate with IT teams to prioritize and remediate identified vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with standards and regulations such as GDPR, PCI‑DSS, and ISO 27001.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of security policies, incidents, and procedures.
• Deliver training sessions to raise employee awareness of phishing, social engineering, and secure data handling.
• Work with external vendors and auditors to evaluate and improve security controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in IT security or a comparable role.
• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, CC, or GSEC.
