Instrumentation & Control Draftsman

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Draftsman specialized in Instrumentation & Control to join DAR Engineering’s design team in Saudi Arabia. The role involves producing high‑quality engineering drawings that meet client and project standards while supporting a range of power, healthcare and building projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate 2D and 3D drawings, including P&IDs, IO lists, hook‑up, cable layouts, interconnection and loop diagrams.
• Maintain drafting documentation in compliance with the Quality Management System and project requirements.
• Review project specifications, highlight critical points and circulate information to design assistants.
• Prepare and verify deliverable lists, flag issues found in input drawings and respond to client comments.
• Generate compliance statements and update drawings accordingly.
• Utilize SPI INTOOLS database and industry‑standard software to produce control system architecture, equipment layouts, junction‑box schedules and auxiliary system drawings.

Required profile

• DAE Electrical, Diploma in Drafting/CAD or Civil 3D (C3D) qualification.
• 8–16 years of experience in design and drafting within power generation, transmission, healthcare or high‑rise building projects.
• Proven ability to read and interpret P&IDs and extract instrument lists.
• Strong understanding of QMS compliance and project documentation procedures.
