Integration Engineer - Airport Engineering

About the role

Vanderlande, a global leader in airport logistics process automation, is looking for an Integration Engineer to join its Airport Engineering team. You will be responsible for integrating complex electro‑mechanical and IT components into cohesive solutions, testing them thoroughly, and ensuring they meet design specifications and customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Integration Manager to design test plans based on system design, risk analysis and customer requirements.
• Organise test‑preparation meetings with internal teams, customers and subcontractors.
• Act as the main point of contact between the project team and the customer for integration and commissioning matters.
• Create test designs, test cases and automated test scripts, and set up the test environment (IT infrastructure, software deployment, system configuration).
• Execute integration, system and customer acceptance tests on‑site, analyse results and report issues.
• Maintain test records in line with the Integration Plan and manage non‑conformities and corrective actions.
• Support lifecycle services by reviewing proposals and ensuring operational readiness.
• Identify improvement opportunities based on customer and operational feedback.

Required profile

• Analytical problem‑solver with a systems‑thinking approach and ability to balance detail with the big picture.
• Team player comfortable working in an international, multi‑disciplinary engineering environment.
• Technical degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Computer Science or Control Technology) at bachelor level or higher.
• At least 8 years of experience in integration, testing or automation within material‑handling or logistics domains.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering, software development concepts and testing methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
