Internal Audit Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Internal Audit Manager to establish and lead a new internal audit function for a fast‑growing investment firm with a strong real‑estate development arm in Dammam. You will partner with an external advisory team during the establishment phase and later own the fully operational audit department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Establishment Phase, delivering IA infrastructure, enterprise risk assessment and a 3‑year RBIA plan in partnership with the external advisor.
• Review and quality‑assure all advisor deliverables (IA charter, manual, risk registers, RBIA plan) before Audit Committee submission.
• Act as the day‑to‑day liaison with the advisor, coordinating stakeholder access and information requests.
• Design and execute a knowledge‑transfer plan to build in‑house IA capability and recruit the internal audit team.
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and audit plans aligned with corporate strategy.
• Conduct periodic internal audits, prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and the Audit Committee, and monitor corrective action implementation.
• Provide independent advice on compliance, governance, financial controls and emerging risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a management position.
• Proven experience establishing or transforming an internal audit function.
• Professional accounting/audit certification (CPA, CIA) is mandatory.
• Exposure to large‑scale organizations and complex financial environments.
