IT Governance Specialist

About the role

The organization seeks a detail‑oriented and proactive IT Governance Specialist to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of IT governance, compliance, and policy management initiatives. The role will ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices while supporting audit and risk activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and periodically review IT policies, standards, procedures, and governance documentation.
• Monitor compliance with IT governance frameworks, internal policies, and regulatory standards such as NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls, ISO, COBIT, and ITIL.
• Identify compliance gaps, recommend corrective actions, and support remediation efforts.
• Coordinate internal and external IT audits, maintain audit evidence, and track findings to closure.
• Monitor governance controls, KPIs, and compliance metrics; prepare dashboards and management reports.
• Support IT risk assessments, control reviews, and governance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to promote a strong governance culture.

• Proactive, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of IT Governance, IT Compliance, and IT Audit practices.
• Familiarity with NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC).
• Understanding of ISO standards, COBIT, and ITIL frameworks.
