IT Infrastructure Support Specialist

About the role

Air Products is seeking an IT Infrastructure Support Specialist to ensure reliable cabling, network, and IT room operations across its sites. You will work hands‑on with structured cabling, fiber optics, and temporary IT infrastructure while supporting industrial control systems and collaborating with internal and external teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain proper cable management, labeling, and compliance with Air Products DT/IT standards.
• Supervise installation, termination and testing of structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, fiber optics) for data, voice and CCTV.
• Perform OTDR and Fluke testing on fiber optic cables, document results and upload reports to Aconex/OT.
• Design and layout IT room cabinets, mount equipment, and manage cable routing.
• Inspect and verify communication cable installations against project requirements.
• Manage IT contractors, vendors and coordinate DT infrastructure services.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty cabling, connectors and network drops.
• Assist DT project teams with DMZ installation and configuration.
• Set up temporary IT infrastructure, including network cabling, wireless access points and VPN connections.
• Provide local coordination for issue remediation, deployments and support for industrial control systems.

• Strong problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours and weekends when required.
• Ability to prioritize urgent issues and adapt to changing requirements.
