Junior Microbiology Executive

About the role

Jamjoom Pharma is seeking a Junior Microbiology Executive to join its laboratory team. The role involves conducting routine and non‑routine microbiological analyses of water samples, bulk and intermediate products, and ensuring compliance with cGMP, GLP and GDP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log, and test samples of bulk and intermediate products according to defined procedures.
• Perform environmental monitoring of sterile (aseptic) areas and report results promptly.
• Test various water types (WFI, injection water, rinse water, manufacturing water, tap water) and conduct bacterial endotoxin testing where applicable.
• Sterilize media, carry out media growth promotion tests, sub‑culture microorganisms, and prepare culture suspensions.
• Prepare disinfectants, monitor temperature and humidity in microbiology areas, and maintain equipment records.
• Identify microbiological cultures and isolates, transport samples between labs, and keep comprehensive logbooks.
• Report any deviations, out‑of‑trend (OOT), out‑of‑specification (OOS) results, or non‑conformances immediately.
• Support water system validation and media‑fill trials according to validation protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in a microbiology laboratory environment.
• Familiarity with cGMP, GLP and GDP requirements.
• Ability to work accurately, follow SOPs, and maintain detailed records.
