Kafka Streaming Platform Developer

About the role

The Kafka Streaming Platform Developer designs, builds and maintains real‑time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka and its ecosystem. The role ensures reliable, low‑latency data integration across enterprise systems and supports analytics and business‑critical use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate real‑time streaming pipelines with Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams and ksqlDB.
• Build and support Kafka producers, consumers and stream‑processing applications following best practices.
• Implement event‑driven integration solutions and manage data contracts, schema governance, and serialization with Schema Registry, Avro and Protobuf.
• Integrate Kafka with databases, cloud services, CDC solutions and other data platforms.
• Collaborate with architects, developers and business teams to define streaming requirements and integration strategies.
• Optimize performance, scalability, fault tolerance and reliability of streaming applications.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment for streaming solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Confluent Certified Developer for Apache Kafka (or equivalent).
• At least 4 years of software development experience, including hands‑on work with Apache Kafka.
• Experience building enterprise‑grade event‑driven architectures and production‑grade distributed systems.
• Background in regulated industries such as banking, fintech or telecommunications is a plus.
