Key Account Manager – Government (Riyadh)

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Key Account Manager focused on government accounts in Riyadh. The role will drive sales growth for Abbott’s biologic and biosimilar portfolio across central and northern government hospitals, ensuring consistent achievement of sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales performance and meet targets for Abbott’s biologics/biosimilars across assigned government hospitals.
• Implement company strategies, positioning, and market‑access approaches.
• Lead and secure governmental tenders, ensuring competitive positioning and compliance.
• Develop and execute account plans to increase biosimilar uptake, switching, and penetration.
• Engage strategically with key stakeholders to support biosimilar adoption and address efficacy, safety, and interchangeability concerns.
• Identify new business opportunities, including expanding indications and converting originator biologic users.
• Monitor market trends, competitor biosimilars, pricing dynamics, and tender outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision‑makers and support formulary inclusion of biosimilars.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with medical, market‑access, and regulatory teams for successful product launches and lifecycle management.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing key accounts within the government healthcare sector.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets for pharmaceutical products, preferably biologics or biosimilars.
• Strong understanding of tender processes, market‑access strategies, and formulary inclusion.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with hospital decision‑makers and stakeholders.
