About the role

AkzoNobel is seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to drive new business within the Protective Coatings market in Riyadh. The role focuses on hunting new customers, projects and segments, expanding the company’s footprint with high‑potential accounts.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities in assigned industries and territories.
  • Lead the full sales cycle from opportunity identification through negotiation, closing and hand‑over.
  • Prepare and deliver value‑based proposals aligned with customer needs.
  • Build and maintain long‑term relationships with decision‑makers, EPCs, contractors and asset owners.
  • Coordinate internal resources such as Technical Service, Supply Chain and Marketing to support winning new business.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity and project pipelines, providing structured feedback to management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of opportunities, forecasts and activities in CRM.

Required profile

  • Strong commercial drive with a proven “hunter” mindset.
  • Deep market knowledge of protective coatings and related industries.
  • Ability to convert opportunities into sustainable, profitable business.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to work within approved authority.
  • Experience building pipelines and managing complex sales cycles.
