L2 DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an L2 DevOps Engineer to support the stability, availability and performance of enterprise banking platforms. The role focuses on operational support, environment management, automation and incident resolution across development, testing, UAT and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 operational support for banking applications across all environments.
• Monitor system health, infrastructure and application performance and resolve issues before business impact.
• Troubleshoot and resolve environment, deployment, pipeline and infrastructure problems beyond L1 capability.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts and platform configurations.
• Manage containerised and cloud‑based environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS).
• Perform root‑cause analysis for recurring incidents and contribute to permanent fixes.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for deployments, hot‑fixes and configuration changes.
• Ensure compliance with security, regulatory and KSA banking requirements.
• Maintain operational documentation, runbooks and SOPs.
• Participate in on‑call and incident‑response activities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience in DevOps, platform or infrastructure support.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Hands‑on experience with OpenShift and Linux/Unix systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms Azure and/or AWS.
• Solid understanding of ITIL‑based incident and problem management.
