Laboratory Technician (Phlebotomist) – Home Collection

About the role

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician (Phlebotomist) to provide professional, safe specimen collection services primarily through home visits across Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered phlebotomy for all age groups while ensuring sample integrity and timely transport to the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures for neonates, children, adults, geriatrics and patients with challenging clinical conditions.
• Conduct scheduled home collection visits, verify patient identity, and provide post‑collection care.
• Maintain sample integrity during collection, handling, storage and transportation.
• Follow infection‑control, safety and biohazard handling policies at all times.
• Document, label and manage chain‑of‑custody for every specimen accurately.
• Coordinate with the laboratory team to ensure timely delivery of specimens.
• Use personal transportation for home visits and keep phlebotomy equipment clean and maintained.
• Report incidents, complications or patient concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Applied Medical Sciences or equivalent.
• Minimum 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably with home collection.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
• Valid driving licence.

• Sample labeling, documentation and chain‑of‑custody management.
• Computer proficiency with Office applications and Health Information Systems.
