Laundry Manager

About the role

The Shangri‑La Jeddah hotel is seeking an experienced Laundry Manager to lead its Laundry Department, including the linen and uniform sections. Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, you will ensure high‑quality cleaning, efficient operations, and exceptional guest service in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily laundry operations for guest laundry, linens, and uniforms, maintaining strict quality standards.
• Implement preventive maintenance programmes for laundry equipment and manage safe chemical usage.
• Control departmental budgets, monitor cost‑control measures, and manage inventory of linen, chemicals and supplies.
• Train, develop and motivate a team of laundry staff, fostering a culture of safety, hygiene and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health‑safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Health Club and other departments to meet operational needs.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints related to laundry services promptly and professionally.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel laundry operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Certificate in Hotel Management, Technical School or equivalent professional training.
• Strong leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Good health and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
