Lead Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

The Lead Cyber Security Engineer will design, implement and oversee the organisation’s cybersecurity architecture and controls. Reporting to senior management, you will protect critical systems, networks and data while guiding a team of security professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise‑wide cybersecurity architecture and security controls.
• Oversee security operations, including threat detection, incident response and vulnerability management.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, NIST and other regulatory requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, security audits and penetration‑testing reviews.
• Develop, enforce and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures and best practices.
• Lead incident response activities and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Coordinate secure integration of IT and OT systems with business units.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship and guidance to the cybersecurity team.
• Report the security posture, risks and incidents to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or a related field (diploma not acceptable).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security.
• Proven experience leading cybersecurity engineering or security operations teams.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Hands‑on experience with security tools, networks and infrastructure.
• Ability to start immediately.
