Lead QA Engineer (AI native)

About the role

We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer to own the quality strategy for an AI‑first product built in Saudi Arabia. You will lead the design and implementation of an end‑to‑end testing pipeline for a complex codebase where AI agents generate most of the code, ensuring reliability for critical financial flows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build the full testing pipeline, including pre‑merge checks, nightly runs, release validation and production quality gates.
• Define a quality strategy for AI‑generated code, identify high‑risk areas and maintain sustainable test coverage as the product scales.
• Develop and maintain automated UI tests across browsers and mobile devices, leveraging AI‑agent‑driven testing approaches.
• Evaluate, select and integrate external testing tools to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Own product reliability from a technical QA perspective, focusing on critical financial workflows.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and owning testing processes for large, high‑reliability products (QA Architect, Senior QA/SDET or similar).
• Strong software engineering foundation with understanding of system architecture, backend services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience building automated tests and integrating them into CI/CD workflows.
• Daily practical use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or comparable tools.
• Fluent Russian and ability to work autonomously in a small senior‑level team.
