Lead QA Engineer

About the role

The Lead QA Engineer will direct all quality assurance activities throughout the construction and site supervision phases of major building projects. Reporting to senior management, you will establish and maintain project‑wide quality management systems, ensure compliance with contractual and technical requirements, and drive continuous improvement across all stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and monitor project quality objectives, procedures and QA strategies.
• Review and approve contractor quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements and related procedures.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, verify compliance with project specifications, codes and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee inspection and testing activities for all construction disciplines, manage hold points, witness points and quality control checkpoints.
• Manage non‑conformance reports, conduct root‑cause analyses and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with client representatives, resident engineers, discipline engineers, contractors and consultants on quality matters.
• Support regulatory inspections, third‑party audits and client quality reviews.
• Maintain punch lists, snagging activities and final quality close‑out processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in quality management within the construction or building development sector.
• Strong knowledge of contractual, technical and regulatory quality requirements.
• Proven ability to lead audits, inspections and corrective‑action processes.
• Excellent stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
