Lead Specialist – Process Safety Management

About the role

Maaden is seeking a Lead Specialist to head process safety management within its EHSS department at the Ras Al Khair site. The role ensures safe, reliable and compliant performance across the company’s industrial and process operations, supporting the Assurance & Compliance function.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process safety management across operating assets, including conducting HAZOP and LOPA studies, major accident hazard assessments, and pre‑startup safety reviews.
• Manage asset and mechanical integrity programs, management of change, and ensure effective implementation of safety controls.
• Serve as a core member of the Assurance & Compliance team, verifying conformance with internal and external audit requirements, regulatory standards and Maaden’s EHSS Management System.
• Validate, track and close corrective and preventive actions arising from audits, assurance reviews and incidents.
• Implement, monitor and continuously improve HSE programs such as industrial hygiene, hazard identification and risk‑control measures.
• Lead periodic reviews of HSE policies, procedures and standards to align with regulatory changes and industry best practice.

Required profile

• Proven experience in heavy‑industry environments (mining, metals, refining, smelting) with strong process‑safety and analytical capabilities.
• Hands‑on field engagement and ability to drive audits, assurance activities and corrective‑action follow‑up to closure.
• Knowledge of relevant Saudi regulations and international standards for process safety.
