Lead – Workplace Effectiveness

About the role

The Workplace Effectiveness Lead will work closely with the Workplace Lead, the Corporate Business Unit (COBU) and the City development team to design, construct, and continuously improve corporate office environments. This role connects real estate, design, construction, and data analytics to ensure workplaces are functional, efficient, and aligned with business and employee experience goals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with COBU and development teams on workplace design, construction delivery, and performance optimization.
• Develop and maintain frameworks to measure space effectiveness, covering utilization, employee experience, environmental performance, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with the Data and Decision Intelligence lead to gather and analyse workplace data using analytics tools, sensors, and surveys.
• Contribute to long‑range planning, capital investment strategies, and governance for workplace initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 8–12 years of experience in corporate real estate, workplace strategy, or construction delivery.
• Strong understanding of workplace metrics such as utilization, density and experience scores.

Required skills

• Fit‑out and construction standards expertise.
• Knowledge of “kit‑of‑parts” systems for office fit‑out.
• Proficiency with workplace analytics tools, sensors and survey methodologies.
