Legal Counsel, Managing Associate

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel, Managing Associate to lead the delivery of legal services across our affiliates, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian regulations and protecting the company’s interests. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will act as a custodian of specialized legal knowledge and support various business units.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice on contractual and legal matters under the guidance of the General Counsel.
• Review and recommend amendments to legally binding instruments to ensure compliance with Kingdom and Maaden regulations.
• Advise internal departments on contractual, administrative and related legal issues.
• Support dispute resolution, including preparation, representation, reporting and litigation support.
• Translate legal documentation between Arabic and English.
• Monitor, analyze and advise on new or amended laws, regulations and enforcement trends.
• Lead Regulatory Impact Assessments and advise on compliance obligations.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities, government entities and external counsel.
• Develop and enhance compliance policies, procedures and monitoring programs.
• Manage disputes, claims, arbitrations, mediations and litigation matters.
• Prepare reports, legal updates and briefings for senior management and the Board.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law from a reputable university.
• Minimum 8 years of corporate legal experience, including at least 3 years at a senior level.
• Demonstrated ability to provide sound legal judgment and decision‑making.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of industry‑specific regulations.
