Linux & K8s and Backup Administrator

About the role

The Linux & K8s and Backup Administrator ensures the reliability, security and performance of Linux servers, Kubernetes clusters and Veeam backup infrastructure. You will be the key point of contact for monitoring, patching, and disaster‑recovery activities across the environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and harden Linux‑based systems, manage configurations, monitor logs and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation and compliance validation.
• Operate and monitor Kubernetes clusters, validate configurations, container images and runtime security.
• Integrate container workloads with CI/CD pipelines, SIEM, cloud security controls and centralized logging.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and compliance checks for containerized applications.
• Configure, monitor and troubleshoot Veeam Backup & Replication jobs, replication tasks and recovery operations.
• Run backup health checks, capacity monitoring, performance optimisation and regular restore testing.
• Support disaster‑recovery planning, testing and adherence to retention policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Linux administration, Kubernetes and backup administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux security hardening, patch management and system monitoring.
• Practical experience with Veeam Backup & Replication.
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, SIEM, centralized logging, CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments is a plus.
