Linux OS Specialist

About the role

The company is looking for a Linux OS Specialist to manage and support both Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers across its Saudi Arabian data centres. The role involves day‑to‑day administration, patching, performance tuning and ensuring high‑availability for critical SAP workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support physical and virtual enterprise servers running Windows Server (2010/2012/2016) and RHEL (7/8/9).
• Perform OS patching, upgrades, security hardening and resource monitoring.
• Manage SCOM, SCCM and AppDynamics agents to ensure proper server monitoring.
• Provide automation guidance using Microsoft Orchestrator and handle vendor tickets with Microsoft and Red Hat.
• Support SAP, SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA environments on both platforms.
• Configure and troubleshoot Windows Failover Clustering and Pacemaker (Red Hat HA) high‑availability solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in Windows and Linux server administration, clustering and enterprise OS management.
• Proven ability to coordinate with ERP, database, application and web‑hosting teams.

Required skills

• Windows Server 2010/2012/2016 administration.
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9 administration.
• Windows and RHEL clustering (Failover Clustering, Pacemaker).
• SCOM, SCCM and AppDynamics monitoring agents.
• Microsoft Orchestrator automation.
• Patch management, OS upgrades and security hardening.
• Backup operations and virus protection.
• Technical documentation and SOP creation.
• User/group account management and security policy implementation.
• Support for SAP, SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA workloads.
