Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer will plan, coordinate and oversee the movement of construction materials, heavy equipment, tools and supplies to multiple project sites. This position ensures uninterrupted project execution by working closely with procurement, warehouse, site operations and external logistics partners while adhering to company policies, contractual terms and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate transportation and delivery of construction materials, equipment, tools and machinery to project sites.
• Monitor shipment schedules, track local and international shipments and resolve any logistics issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Warehouse, Site Engineers and Project Managers to guarantee material availability.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and transport companies to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare and maintain shipping documents, customs paperwork and logistics reports.
• Support import/export activities, including customs clearance and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate mobilization and demobilization of construction equipment and assets.
• Monitor logistics costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities and maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP system.
• Prepare periodic logistics performance reports and KPI dashboards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of logistics or supply‑chain experience in construction, EPC, infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Proven experience coordinating movement of heavy equipment and materials to multiple sites.
• Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, import/export procedures and customs clearance.
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Previous exposure to large‑scale construction projects in the GCC/Middle East is a plus.
