Logistics Operations Team Leader

About the role

Lenovo is seeking a proactive Logistics Operations Team Leader to oversee global inbound supply chain activities, with primary responsibility for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) site. You will ensure seamless execution of high‑priority shipments, manage carrier performance, and collaborate closely with procurement and cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day global inbound freight movements, focusing on KSA site shipments.
• Track and report carrier performance for inbound and outbound deliveries, including on‑time delivery, transit times, and acceptance rates.
• Conduct regular check‑ins with procurement and carriers to prioritize critical cargo, resolve bottlenecks, and handle urgent freight.
• Collaborate with Global Procurement and freight forwarding partners to align capacity, review carrier SLAs, and support vendor evaluations.
• Guide the inbound logistics team, ensuring adherence to standard procedures and efficient daily task execution.
• Oversee outbound carrier relationships to guarantee timely pickups and fulfilled bookings.
• Identify bottlenecks in the inbound pipeline and implement SOPs to improve visibility and reduce transit delays.

Required profile

• Solid background in global freight operations, supply chain logistics, or freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of global inbound processes, customs, and freight operations, with experience handling KSA logistics preferred.
• Proven experience running carrier reviews and managing performance using concrete metrics.
• Comfortable working with ERP systems such as SAP, as well as tracking and reporting tools.
