Maintenance Team Leader

About the role

Lucid is seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Team Leader to drive shift maintenance execution for Powertrain manufacturing. You will ensure safe equipment recovery, disciplined preventive maintenance, rapid escalation and reliable handover across highly automated Drive Unit and Battery operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead every maintenance intervention in line with LOTO, high‑voltage, machine‑guarding and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Conduct shift safety briefings, verify technician authorisations and close near‑miss actions.
• Translate production plans, equipment condition and CMMS backlog into a prioritized shift maintenance plan with clear ownership, timing, parts, tools and escalation routes.
• Allocate work based on competency and certification, balancing resources across critical stations.
• Manage structured shift start, tier response and end‑of‑shift handover, communicating equipment status, open risks and next actions.
• Maintain disciplined work‑order control, labour booking, failure coding and equipment status reporting.

Required profile

• Proven front‑line leadership of maintenance technicians in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Powertrain, Drive Unit or Battery equipment.
• Strong safety mindset with ability to enforce LOTO, high‑voltage and interlock controls.
• Capability to develop a multi‑skilled team and provide technical coaching.
• Excellent coordination skills with engineering, controls, facilities, OEM and production support.
