Maintenance Technician – Hotel Facilities

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of hotel facilities by responding promptly to guest repair requests and performing preventive maintenance on all equipment and building systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions effectively.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, visual inspections, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen, and mechanical equipment.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and hand over daily activities to the next shift.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough clean‑up of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping‑engineering inventory, and maintain landscaping and sprinkler systems.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, and report hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and general building systems.
• Ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong guest‑service orientation.
